Join us for Building Community with Roxanne Fairweather

Friends,

It’s an exciting time at L’Arche Saint John. Our new L’Arche Connects program is now in full swing with our four new core members — April, Warren, Kathryn and Shawna — moved into apartments of their own and featured in some terrific coverage by CBC.

But also we’re delighted to let you know that our Building Community fall gala will be held Sept. 27 at the Delta in Saint John with special guest Roxanne Fairweather, a champion of education and innovation, highly accomplished business leader and advocate for equality.

Inducted into the Order of Canada, Order of New Brunswick and New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame, Roxanne is co-president and co-owner of Innovatia. Considered one of the most influential business executives in Atlantic Canada, she believes in the transformative power of education and early literacy.

Having served as Chair of the Board of Governors for the University of New Brunswick and Chair of Elementary Literacy Friends, she is also one of the founding members of Women for 50%, a group of female leaders whose goal is parity and equality in the New Brunswick legislature.

Our emcee for the evening is Emily Rodger, an inspirational leadership coach and former world-class cyclist. Emily’s remarkable story is captured in the documentaries Cadence and Chasing the Current.

Tickets are $130 each, with tables of 10 available for $1,200. All proceeds will go to L’Arche Saint John, including money raised through our popular silent auction that evening.

For more information and tickets, click here or call Wayne Cooper at (506) 636-0615.

I hope you can join us. Our first two Building Community events, featuring Frank McKenna and Marcel LeBrun, were true celebrations of L'Arche and building a more inclusive community.

Sincerely,

Dave Stonehouse
